Lisbon – with Cristiano Ronaldo, Vasco da Gama & Plato

As a Cristiano Ronaldo (and Real Madrid) fan, I was naturally excited to visit Lisbon where his glorious career began, humbly! However nothing prepared me for the stunning beauty that Lisbon is; from the aerial view which the pilot of the Lufthansa Airline ensured we got on arrival to the lights at night. Everything was awesome!

As we celebrate the success of Lisbon and Portugal as a whole, not many of us will take time to reflect on Vasco da Gama, although tributes to him abound. Vasco da Gama is a familiar name, but not many will take time to reflect on his extraordinary courage, voyaging through uncharted territory thus securing glory for himself and the future of generations of his country men and the world at large.
